Greetings Japan GSE'ers! I happened upon this article. Interesting information! Considering we are all ladies, this may spark some interest. My immediate observations are that these are the facts but sometimes culture is not "matter-of-fact". Meaning the culture that shapes the lifestyle and business environment is not "straightforward, dealing with facts and not emotions or opinions". I always wonder how these gender equality facts address the fact that some women choose the stay at home not because of limitations but because of values and individual preferences. Also, whose "definition" are we using to determine gender equality? Does this mean that ALL women, including western women are related to in the same manner in the culture? Interesting right...
